Cold Applied Outer Wrapping Tapes for mechanical protection of inner layer

NIAKYMIA Outer Wrap Tape is a cold-applied mechanical protection tape engineered for use over inner wrap corrosion protection systems. The tape consists of a stabilized polyethylene backing with an integrated overstretch-prevention layer and a butyl rubber adhesive coating.

When applied, the butyl rubber adhesive self-amalgamates within the overlap area, creating a seamless, waterproof, and highly electrically insulating protective jacket. The system significantly improves resistance to impact, indentation, abrasion, and mechanical damage in demanding underground environments.

Backing: Stabilized polyethylene with overstretch-prevention layer
Adhesive: Butyl rubber synthetic elastomer adhesive resin
